COOK- Derek James Cook, 26, passed away on September 16, 2009 in
Columbia, MD. He was born on April 4, 1983 in Albuquerque, to
Bill and Beth Cook. He is also survived by brother Damon Cook and
sister-in-law Diana; brother Mark Cook and sister-in-law Amy; sister
Heidi Carey and brother-in-law Jeremy, niece and nephew Hannah and Zach;
sister Katie Cook; grandparents Anne Swinger and Bill and Shirley Cook.
Derek earned his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Electrical Engineering
from New Mexico State University. He was employed by the Applied Physics
Lab at Johns Hopkins University.
Memorial Services will be held at Tramway Community Church on Wednesday,
September 23, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven
Cemetery, 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made
to Tramway Community Church, 4800 Tramway Ridge Dr NE, 87111.
